Digital Cattle Scale
Built for New Mexico Ranching
We have been building scales out of Konawa, Oklahoma since 1976 and delivering them across New Mexico for decades.
Every digital cattle scale we sell is NTEP certified, field-serviceable, and built to hold up under New Mexico heat, New Mexico ranch conditions, and New Mexico commercial weighing requirements.

What Is a Digital Cattle Scale
and What Makes One Good?
A digital cattle scale is a complete weighing system. It replaces the old hanging beam and spring setups with load cells that read force electronically, send that signal to a digital indicator, and give you an accurate number on a screen you can actually read from across the alley.
The word “digital” refers to the indicator display, but the real quality difference is in what is underneath the platform. Load cell rating, frame steel gauge, platform construction, gate hardware, and floor surface all matter more than the indicator brand. A cheap platform with a fancy display is still a cheap scale.
We manufacture our own platforms in Konawa, Oklahoma and deliver them across New Mexico. We know what the steel is, how the welds are done, and where the load cells sit. When something needs service three years from now, we can actually fix it because we built it.
The Main Components
- Steel Platform and Frame
The deck cattle walk onto. Heavy gauge steel construction, rated for the weight range you need. Rubber mat flooring for secure footing and animal comfort.
- Load Cells
Electronic sensors under the platform that measure force. Digital load cells deliver faster, more precise readings than analog. Properly rated for dynamic live-animal loading.
- Digital Indicator
The display and control unit. Reads the signal from load cells, shows the weight, and depending on model, records animal IDs, calculates ADG, and integrates with herd management software.
- Gates and Alley Hardware
Swing gates, slam latches, and alley sections that hold the animal in position long enough for the scale to settle and register an accurate reading.
- Cabling and Junction Box
Connects load cells to the indicator. Quality cable management and weatherproof junction boxes protect the signal path from moisture and rodent damage.
For New Mexico Operations
- Cow-Calf Operations
Weigh calves at branding and weaning. Accurate birth and weaning weights let you cull on data, not guesswork. New Mexico ranches often run cattle across large remote acreage. A reliable scale at your headquarters or shipping pens means you have good data every time cattle come through, not just when you can get a truck scale nearby.
- Stocker and Backgrounder
ADG tracking requires consistent, accurate weights. New Mexico stocker and backgrounder operations move cattle through some tough country. A digital scale with memory or software integration makes tracking gain across a turnout period practical regardless of how remote your operation is.
- Feedyard
New Mexico feeding operations deal with extreme temperature swings between day and night, blowing dust, and UV exposure that degrade cheaper electronics and corrode unsealed load cell connections faster than manufacturers expect. Side-rail construction and proper weatherproofing hold calibration accuracy where a lighter platform would fail within a season.
- Auction Market
New Mexico auction markets and sale barns require NTEP certification for every commercial transaction under New Mexico Department of Agriculture regulations. Fast settle time and the right platform configuration for your alley matter when cattle are coming off long hauls and need to move through quickly.
- Veterinary and Treatment
Accurate body weight determines correct drug dosage. Under-dosing wastes product. Over-dosing creates withdrawal issues. A reliable scale is a production health tool.
Our Scales
Manufacturing Since 1976 | NTEP Certified | Above-Ground Pitless

Single-Animal & Multi-Head
Livestock Scales
Calibrated for dynamic animal loading. Heavy-duty steel frame, swing gates, rubber mat flooring for sure footing. Compatible with digital indicators and herd management software for ADG and weight history tracking. NTEP certified for legal-for-trade livestock transactions.

Above-Ground Pitless
Flat Top Truck Scales
Eliminates the $40,000–$80,000 in site preparation that pit-style installation requires. New load cell technology delivers accuracy across the full load range. Low profile for smooth drive-on and drive-off. Custom deck lengths 40 to 80-plus feet.
NTEP certified.

Dual-Use Platform
Combo Truck & Livestock
Purpose-built for operations that weigh both commercial trucks and cattle — not a truck scale with rails bolted on. Load cell configuration and structural design handle both static commercial truck loads and dynamic live-animal loads accurately. One purchase. One calibration.

Custom Scale Builds
Standard catalog configurations work for most applications. When they don’t, we build to specification. Extended deck lengths, specialized platform geometry, portable configurations for difficult terrain. If you’ve been told it can’t be done, we’d like to hear about it.
