Scale Readiness for Fall Bull
and Female Sale Season

October and November are prime months for fall bull sales and bred female sales across Oklahoma, and every one of those sales runs on a single piece of equipment that rarely gets talked about ahead of time: the scale.

A sale is only as smooth as the scale behind it

Buyers at a bull or female sale are paying real money based on numbers presented that day, and weight is often part of that picture, whether it is confirming a bull’s condition, documenting a pair, or settling a per-pound purchase. A scale that is slow to settle, inconsistent, or simply not certified creates friction at exactly the moment a sale needs to move smoothly.

Sellers who have run sales before know that a scale problem on sale day does not stay a small problem. It becomes a line of people waiting, a buyer asking questions, and a sale that loses momentum it will not get back.

NTEP certification protects the sale, not just the seller

A certified scale is not there to protect one side of the transaction. It protects the whole event, because a number both buyer and seller can trust is what keeps a sale moving without disputes. Every scale we manufacture, from a single animal unit to a full combo scale, carries NTEP certification for exactly this reason.

Renting for one sale, or building for every sale

Some operations only need a certified scale for one event a year, and renting makes sense for that. Others are running multiple sales a season and are better served by a permanent installation built into their facility. We do both, and we can help you figure out which one actually fits your operation instead of assuming a purchase is the only option.

Sale dates do not move,
so we do not slow you down

If you have a sale date on the calendar, you already know it is not moving. We build our process around that. Reach out to us and we will usually have a quote back to you within a day, two days at the latest, so you are not waiting on us while everything else on your sale is on a deadline.

Sooner Scale Inc. has been manufacturing scales in Oklahoma since 1976, and fall sale season is work we know well.
