Sooner Scale Inc. was founded in Oklahoma City in 1969 and began manufacturing its own scales in Konawa, Oklahoma in 1976. Arkansas has been a consistent and important part of our market from the beginning. The state’s combination of poultry live-haul trucks, cattle ranches in the Ozarks and Boston Mountains, rice and grain elevators in the Delta, and timber hauling in the south gives us more types of scale customers in a single state than almost anywhere else we serve.
We built our name on the above-ground pitless motor truck scale — a design that replaced the old excavation pit method with a cleaner, faster, and more practical approach. No costly earthwork. No drainage maintenance. Just a solid, NTEP-certified platform that installs quickly and keeps working long after the day it was set.
